The family of Stephen Donnell Miles has requested the assistance of the Patriot Guard Riders in accompanying their Hero to his Final Military Honors at Riverside National Cemetery.  We will proudly honor that request.

Steve served in the United States Marine Corps from August 1995 to September 2016. He served honorably for 21 years and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant (E7). Early in his military career he was an Armor Marine 1812 MOS. He later cross-trained into the field of computer services and Internet Technology.

Upon retirement our hero continued in that field as an employee of Microsoft Corporation. He held a plethora of Microsoft Certifications in all aspects of computer science and internet technology. He was a firm believer in self-improvement and motivation. Steve was even in the process of writing his own book in that same vein at the time of his passing.

Our hero is survived by his wife, Serena Caldwell and his brother, Justin Bryant. Steve is also survived by his adored four daughters Nancy Lisette Miles, Skylar Vionne Miles, Angelina Jade Miles, Suraiya Sakura-Lynn Miles, and one son, Nikolai Lazarus Miles and their mother, Nancy Katt Miles. He was the best father and best friend to all who knew him.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
