The family of Ricky Coverdell have requested the Patriot Guard Riders be with them as they celebrate the life and service of their Hero. We are honored to be allowed to attend.

Ricky served with the United States Marine Corps for 4 years where he achieved the rank of SGT (E-5) as an Aircraft Weapons Systems Specialist for the venerable F-4. His final duty assignment was with VMFA314, MAG11 3dMAW at MCAS El Toro.

After leaving the Marine Corps, Ricky worked for Boeing Naval Defense Systems for over 38 years.

Ricky’s ashes will be carried on his beloved Harley Davidson being ridden by his son.

Ricky is survived by his wife Susan, daughters, Erin and Brittany, stepchildren, Gabe, Bryan, Rebecca and Blake. Siblings, Mary, Jon, Joan, Pam, Rodney, Ritchie, and 6 grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran and PGR member.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will accompany the family and the hero’s ashes from the family residence to the church. If you would prefer to go directly to the church, we will meet you there.
