The City of Baldwin Park has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to lead a procession accompaniment of the Wall that Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The route will start from Azusa's Veteran Freedom Park and will end at Baldwin Park's Morgan Park. It will be our privilege to assist in this event.
As part of the festivities, the wall is usually driven in with an 18-wheeler tractor trailer with a parade like atmosphere. The procession will include motorcycles, Firefighters, Police and Military Vehicles.
The accompaniment will be approximately 15 min from Azusa to Baldwin Park. A police motor escort will provide rolling stops and road guarding duties, and Baldwin Park Police will coordinate all police activities with all participating municipal agencies.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in doing this accompany. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the traveling wall a distance of approximately 7 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
