The family of Javier Tomas Noriega, 35, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero served in the US Army from 10/06 – 12/13 as a Military Policeman. His extensive training included specialties in Military Police, Military Police Investigator School, and Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operation. He was honorably discharged at the rank of SGT E-5. He was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. His awards and medals included: Afghanistan Campaign Medal with campaign star, Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star, Army Achievement Medal, NATO Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2) and National Defense Medal.
As a civilian, Javier was passionate about helping and serving others. As such, he worked with an outreach program as a case manager finding resources for veterans and civilians alike.
He enjoyed working with ceramics, various forms of art, coaching flag football, and exploring on his motorcycle. He was not married and did not have children. He loved his dog.
Our hero leaves behind his parents, Anna and Fernando; three brothers, Guiseppi, Gaspare, and Fernado IV; and sister, Antoinette. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
