The family and friends of David Earl Medberry have asked the Patriot Guard to pay Honors for this American Hero. It will be our privilege to do so.

After David finished Graduating High School he went to work doing odd jobs for a while.

On July 30, 1973 David went into the United States Marines where he served the next 6 yrs.
During his time in the Marines he served with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines F company as a Rifleman (MOS 0311.)

David kept getting promoted until he attained the rank of CPL. From his current unit he was transferred to C company 1st. battalion, 4th Marines as a scout sniper (MOS 8541.)

David spent  time in Vietnam earning various awards. He was presented with the National Defense Service medal, Merit Mast 2 times, Expert Rifleman, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal.

Dave was an avid motorcycle rider as well so this would have meant a lot to him. He was very proud of being a veteran and his time served.

Dave loved to ride his Harley, was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed smoking cigars and spending time with his family.

Today is the day that we Honor the home going of another brother that fought in a very unpopular war. Let us strive to make a very hard day for another American family, a little bit better.

David leaves behind his very loving wife Laura, 3 sons Jeremy, Jerett, & Zach, 1 Grandson, & 1 Granddaughter.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero and his family from Covina Park to his final resting place. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. We will meet you there for those who would rather go directly to the cemetery.

"The weather is predicted to be hot please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat. It can make a difference with your ability to withstand the heat."

"Standing for those who stood for us
" Patriot Guard Ride Captain" #202572
 Orange County, Calif.

Only 2 defining forces offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier:
One died for your soul, the other one died for your freedom.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
