The family of Charles Albert Clements has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Charles Clements joined the Air Force in 1952 during the Korean War and served honorably until 1956. During these four years Charles received the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Charles went on to marry Marilyn and they had four boys together, John, Mark, David and Christopher.

In his civilian life, Charles went on to work with computers and data processing for General Dynamics, San Diego City Schools, Security Pacific, and Sharp Hospital. Charles also had several hobbies Photography, spending time with family and grandchildren, cars (autobody), Clock making. In 2020 Charles lost his wife and for the few years to follow his sons spent time taking care of him and getting in quality time. Charles lived to be 91 and his family is super proud of him and his service.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this will be an accompaniment from the Clairemont Mortuary, 4266 Mt Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 to Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122 approximately 6 miles.   Please see the timetable below if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
 Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
