The family of Gilbert Ramirez invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in Gilbert’s funeral services and military honors. We are honored to accept.

Gilbert enlisted in the Marine Corps 8 FEB 71 and served in Vietnam as a Mortarman. Gilbert received the Marksman Rifle and Pistol badge, Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Gilbert was honorably discharged 8 MAR 73.

Gilbert’s career after the military was filled with many skilled jobs.  He retired as a finishing carpenter with the Los Angeles County Museum.

Gilbert was instrumental in the building of the Norwalk Sports Complex. Gilbert loved playing handball and was a well-known handball tournament director in Southern California for over 3 decades.

Gilbert is survived by his sons; Gilbert Jr., Andrew and Raymond; daughters, Lori and Patricia and 10 Grandchildren.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
