The family of JERRY WAYNE WILLIAMS, SFC, United States Army has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany and attend services for their HERO from Holland and Lyons Mortuary in Ridgecrest, CA to Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin, California on Thursday, November 7, 2024. We are Honored to accept their request.
Jerry Wayne Williams was born on September 7, 1942, in Magnolia, Arkansas and passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at the age of 82 in Ridgecrest, CA.
Jerry served in the US Army from 1962 to 1982 and retired from Active Duty with nearly 21 years of service. He worked as an I Hawk missile Maintenance Chief and I Hawk Missile Crewman and earned the National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Commendation Medal, 6 Good Conduct Medals and qualified as a Sharpshooter with M16 Rifle.
He is survived by son Shane and daughter Regina and several Grand Children.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this United States Army Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary in Ridgecrest to his place of rest at Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin, CA. 0945 – KSU – to Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain BLVD. Arvin, Ca 93203.

1140 – ETA - at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
1230 – Appointment time at BNC.
1235 – FLAG LINE – for dignified transfer of HERO from coach to Committal Shelter for service and Military Honors.
1300 – DISMISSED NOTES: ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE. The weather is forecasted to be cool with temps in high 50’s to low 60’s along the route from Ridgecrest on 14 South to 58 West through Tehachapi to Arvin.
