At the request of his family, the Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to attend the military honors of this retired Naval Officer.

Robert Ramirez served a total of 27 years in the United States Navy, 08 August 1959 to 08 August 1986.  He was directly involved in Combat Weapon Systems and Electronic Warfare Management, intelligence, surveillance, operations and training, and all phases of amphibious operations.  He served on nine ships in many countries.  He received several decorations to include the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Silver and one Bronze Star, Navy Achievement Medal w Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, and Purple Heart, to name a few of his military accommodations.  Robert was honorably discharged at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO4).  Robert retired in 2000 as a consultant to the Department of Defense.

He later used his military expertise in his future employment in systems engineering support with several government-contracted employers such as Raytheon, Pawhuska Laboratories, Inc., and ETA Technologies, Inc.  He went on to continue to his education obtaining an MBA.

Originally from the Coachella Valley, he returned to live and decided to enter real estate.  He enjoyed work as a volunteer with various community projects, was a member of the Retired Officers Association, Naval Institute of Technology, the American Legion, and very active in the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).

Robert is survived by his wife, Martha; four sons, Robert, Rodney, Randy, and Ronnie; brother, Eddie; and sister, Betty.  He will also be missed by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
