LAX Snowball Express 2024 - First Responder Families - PART 2

This is a very special Help On The Home Front Event.

Background:

SBE was established for the surviving Spouses and Children of our fallen Heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan. It has now been expanded to include First Responder Families. Snow Ball Express is a trip sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation and American Airlines that brings Families from all over the Country to Orlando, Florida, were the Families are treated to entertainment and various activities. This year the SBE - First Responder Families will leave LAX on Saturday, 14 December and return on Wednesday, 18 December 2024.

When the Families return on 18 December 2024 the PGR will meet the Families at the baggage claim area in Terminal 4. We will help the Families with their baggage again. Some will go back to the departure hotel (the PGR will escort) while others will have their baggage loaded into waiting transportation. Again we will be of whatever assistance the Families need.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these First Responder families. For those interested, and all PGR are welcome, we will be accompanying the families from the airport to their hotel. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

NOTE: Motorcycles park in the Terminal 4 Parking.  Parking is free for motorcycles.  Cars can park at the USO and then walk to Terminal 4 Baggage.

Expected Part 2 Time table for Wednesday, 18 Dec 2024:

1200 - Stage at American Airlines Baggage Area, Terminal 4 Lower Level.  The flight will be American Airlines #9724.

1230 -  Mission briefing

1315 - Meet families and assist in loading baggage

1330 - Est KSU to Hyatt Hotel as necessary to assist families returning there.
