*** TIME CHANGE ** TIME CHANGE ***
We just found out we were given an incorrect arrival time. We adjusted staging time to 30 minutes earlier to accommodate! Please see the updated time table below. Due to the nature of this arrival we do NOT expect it to change again but please check this thread BEFORE you leave just in case!

The Command and FRO (Family Readiness Officer) of a Marine Unit have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to welcome home their brave Marines and Sailors from a recent deployment. These men and women have lived in an environment very different from the one you and I are fortunate to be able to wake up to everyday. This Unit deployed last year, we helped welcome them home in November. They were asked to volunteer to deploy again right away and every single one of them stepped up and shipped out! Let's all come out and show them how much we appreciate what they do for us every day!

IMPORTANT STAGING NOTE: The USO main driveway is gated off.  They open it only for buses. Please enter the parking lot from the backside/south end.  When coming passed the USO and turn at the first street and then left again at the corner.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Marine Unit.  For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying these Marines approximately 70 MILES to their unit base camp.  Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather go directly to the unit’s base camp, we will meet you there.

This mission involves an aircraft arrival.  Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving.  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.

Each motorcycle rider must have registration, and proof of insurance. Also necessary are, hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet.  A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Please have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.

Due to OPSEC (Operational Security) limitations which involve troop movements and on-base activities, exact details of this mission will be explained at the "Mission Briefing" only.
