Keleigh, the daughter of US Navy and WWII Veteran Frances Eggelston Johnston, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor Frances for her service to her country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Frances, mother of 6 and wife of a Marine Corps Colonel, served during WWII where she treated the injured at a psychiatric hospital. She enlisted in the US Navy on 23 NOV 1943, and served until 9 MAY 1951, a period of seven years, six months. At the time if her discharge she had attained the rank of Lieutenant.
In civilian life, Frances was an accomplished artist and she enjoyed her craft for more than 65 years.
Her husband, USMC Col. Paul T. Johnston (Ret), preceded Frances in death. She is survived by daughter Anne and daughter Keleigh, sons Larry, Jeff, Roch and Pete, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family has requested a Flag Line at Riverside National Cemetery.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
