The family of GySgt Richard Donald Dunbar has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

GySgt Dunbar served his country for over 28 years, from 1944 until retirement in 1972.  He served in two branches of our military, first in the US Navy and then in the US Marine Corps.  He was also a Merchant Marine. He was a veteran of three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

After retirement, GySgt Dunbar worked at Camp Pendleton with the maintenance division.  After retiring from the base, he went to work as a crossing guard with Escondido PD.

The family has asked for a Flag Line ONLY at Miramar National Cemetery.
