The family of Olen Greer Baggett Jr. have invited the Patriot Guard to join them in paying honor to this American Hero from WWII. It will be our distinct honor to do so.

This request comes in from one of our own, who's the son of this American Hero. It will mean a lot if we can turn out to honor this hero for our brother Lindell ( Medicine Man) Baggett. He has been a PGR member since 2007.

Olen was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Olen graduated from Capital Hill High School.

Olen joined the United States Army Air Corp. from 1945-1946. He than became a proud member of the United States Air Force from 1951 - 1952.

While at Shaw Field, Oklahoma City, Olen was  promoted to Staff Sergeant. Olen was part of the Air Crash Rescue Team, (ACRT).  Olen loved to play on the inner - unit baseball team.

Upon his honorable discharge from serving his country Olen attended Los Angeles City College. Olen earned his Bachelors and his Masters degrees at California State University in Los Angeles. Olen was a teacher and a coach at Palmdale High School, San Bernardino Valley College, and Crafton Hills College. He retired after 28 yrs.

Olen loved playing golf, but his specialty was baseball. Olen was responsible for sending a few young men into professional baseball, working with farm systems, and scouts.

Olen is survived by his wife of 65 yrs. Pat, and his son Lindy, and brother Carl.
