DUE TO THE LENGTHY NATURE OF THIS MISSION IT WILL TAKE PLACE IN TWO PARTS ON THE SAME DAY, PLEASE ATTEND ANY OR ALL PARTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND The family and the U.S. Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend, accompany, and honor Sgt Joseph C. Wilson Jr., it would be our privilege to do so.
Sgt Joseph C. Wilson Jr., 28 yrs of age, served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps for many years. He was attached to the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, the "China Marines" who's motto is "Whatever It Takes", at Camp Pendleton. He was previously attached to the MCAS 38 out of Miramar, and during his time with that unit served five combat deployments, 3 in Iraq, and 2 in Afghanistan.
Sgt Wilson is survived by his wife and child.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time tables if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
NOTE: If you elect to meet us at the cemetery, please arrive at the gate at 1330 to prepare to form a Flag Line for the arrival of the group from Menifee their ETA is 1400. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
