The family of Joe James Edwards has invited the Patriot Guard to join them in paying honors to this American Hero, it will be our honor to do so.
Joe or "JJ" as he liked to be called was born in 1956 in Lynwood, Calif. He spent most of his early life in Long Beach, Calif. where he graduated High School.
After finishing High School JJ enlisted in the Army where he was sent to Germany after completing basic training. JJ served in the U.S. Army from 1974 - 1979 with an honorable discharge as Corporal.
In 1990 JJ married a young lady Margaret that he had met in Junior High School. They had known each other since 1968 and were married 22 yrs. later. Upon settling into civilian life JJ went to work with Western flooring where he was employed until his death.
Many of JJ's home projects went by the wayside so that he could help neighbors, friends, and family with their projects. JJ and Margaret were members of Calvary Chapel in Anaheim for the past 22 yrs.
JJ loved fishing and camping at which time there was always a contest between JJ and his sister Cindy in Wisconsin. They would see who would catch the largest fish. JJ was always at peace when he was camping and fishing. He said I love to see what the Lord has made.
Joe is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Monique, Sons Elijah, Joe, and Justin. 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 1 great grandson, Sister, Cindy and Brother, Tom.
