The Patriot Guard has been invited to attend a very special event to honor the Fallen of the Riverside Police Department as a memorial is dedicated in their honor and memory called "IN THE LINE OF DUTY".

This memorial has been constructed by American Legion Post 79 in Riverside, CA in front of their location and will be unveiled and dedicated by all those involved in the many months of planning. This memorial will honor all 15 of the Riverside PD Fallen Heroes, including the 2 most recent ones that the PGR was honored to attend when their funerals took place.  Officer Michael Crain and Officer Ryan Bonaminio.

Many of us were there for their services, standing tall in the Flag Line to honor them.  They served the community proudly and were cut down brutally in completing that duty.  We are honored to be there again for these two and the other 13 that we were not able to honor previously.

The ALR will ride with the PGR into the venue led by our Ride Captain Paul 'PeaceKeeper' Anderson, retired LEO, where he will conduct the mission.  We will provide a Flag Line for the families who will be present, along with visiting dignitaries who will be speaking at the event. These will include the Mayor of Riverside, the Police Chief, members of the Crain and Bonaminio families, and one of our own PGR members, Gold Star Mom Bridget Madison, who's son, SPC Spencer Karol, died in battle in Iraq in 2003 and who attended the services with the PGR for Officers Crain and Bonaminio.

The organizer of this event, PGR & ALR member Ray Trosper, has invited the Arizona PGR, the Bakersfield PGR and the SoCal PGR, along with SoCal ALR to this event.  There will be plaques and special signs from each of these groups presented to the Police Chief Sergio Diaz.  Prior to the presentation all riders will have an opportunity to sign these. There will also be special flags presented to the Crain and Bonaminio families.

The PGR is invited to stay and eat and mingle with the Officers of the Riverside PD and the families of the fallen officers.
