The family of John Jose Anthony Saurez has invited Patriot Guard Riders to attend his services and honor him, and it will be our privilege to do so.
John was in the U. S. Navy February, 1975 to July, 1980. He served in New Orleans and Hawaii and also in the Pacific Region during the Vietnam Era. He was discharged with the rank of E3.
Johnny, as he was known to family and friends, worked at a printing company upon leaving the service. He also was a mechanic, a welder for the Navy shipyards and worked for the U.S. Post Office for six years prior to his death. He enjoyed listening to oldies and other kinds of music, liked to work on cars, build small models and loved to try new cuisine.
Johnny was a very kind person always wanting to help the less fortunate. He enjoyed family time with his sisters Alice and Elizabeth, and nephew and nieces. Nephew Michael was an Army Veteran.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
Time Table for Thursday 29 JAN 15:1045 - Stage at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Ave, Riverside, CA 92518. (Family at staging area #3, PGR at staging area #8).
