I wanted to take a moment to send a word of thanks to the Patriot Guard Riders who stood out in the rain to so wonderfully honor and show respect for our fallen officer. The same gesture I have personally witnessed at other fallen officers funerals, including that of our Shaun Diamond. It is so refreshing to know that there are people in the world that go out of their way to do such a thing.
It has been a real challenge for all of us in the Department the last couple weeks; your support helps.
